I went to the Strand where the London Fashion Week was showing and caÂUKP e across the Press Registration area, so I went and enquired as to whether I could get a press pass. Yes, I could, so I did! Sadly I didn't manage to also get a photo pass as I hadn't been sent by a magazine so although I had access to the catwalk I wouldn't have been allowed to take pictures :-( No pro lem though, I hung around the show marquee at Somerset House and took pictures of quite a few designers and models. I had quite a few interesting conversations too and business cards were exchanged. A very interesting evening and one I hope to repeat. As with my club photography, I learnt quickly that a thick skin and the ability to keep smiling were a prerequisite-in many cases the size of the egos dwarfed the people that carried them. But hey, if that wasn,t the case there wouldn't be any of the outrageous, flamboyant fashions I got a glimpse of tonight. Check out my Flickr page late tomorrow! |
