Today's non-news item is that the ghastly Katie Price has finally quit the jungle: apparently cruel viewers kept voting to carry out the most unpleasant tasks and she balked at the prospect of having to do another snake-pit trial. Good news for the snakes I'd say; it was very unfair to make those poor reptiles having to confront her! The only question now is whether she'll still be paid the exorbitant UKP 350,000 that she was scheduled to be paid? |

| US / UK Special Relationship - what does it mean?. |

I'm very disappointed indeed that Amy Winehouse has been refused entry to the US to take part in next month's Coachella Festival: apparently this is due to "legal issues", but common sense tells me that the Yanks are worried that someone that can run amok on an aircraft and then assault a fellow passenger may not be of good enough character to enter the country. Apparently she was due to perform alongside Sir Paul McCartney, but lord knows what Macca would have made of that, even if Wino had bothered to stay sober enough to perform. Hopefully he wouldn't have "looked at her in a funny way" - we all know what that leads to!
Actually, it's not a well-known fact that Gordon Brown's recent grovelling visit to affirm the Special Relationship between the US and UK was not just about this alleged global financial crisis - oh no! They actually had the more important task of deciding what to do with Wino, and surely this recent entry snub is the result? After all, Obama himself stated "Great Britain is one of our closest and strongest allies and there is a link and bond there that will not break". So there you have it, and a result for the US.
The only problem now is, where will Wino get to play instead? After putting on my PR agent's hat and spending minutes of searching the globe, I found that this man is the closest substitute to Macca (in looks) that I could find and she'd have no trouble getting into the country! One can only hope ... |
