What can we do to grow the warm contact list for our MLM?

When you join an MLM, most companies like Avon, AdvoCare, DoTERRA will tell you to make long list of everyone you know, including all your friends, family & colleagues. Make this list as long as you can and you will be told to go after them, starting from the highest likely to be interested and going on down. Most people will not experience open arms and welcoming gestures from their closest family & friends, it’ll mostly be bitterness and coldness. This is at that point they will begin to hear the negative doubting talk from their closest associates which turns into their own negative self talk.

At this point, when they are not landing any success, even the most motivated individual will begin to fade away from the opportunity and begin to second guess themselves. This is where most MLM see the massive drop out rates, its not that 100% of the people that failed ever gave it a valiant effort.

You see when you make your warm contact list in the beginning, where most people fail is that they count all their eggs in one basket. You have to go attack that list expecting that most will turn you down. But there is a skill to growing your warm contact list so that you see some success before you allow yourself the luxury of doubt to creep back into.

You have to prospect daily. Ask your warm contact list if they are not interested, do they know somebody that might be interested? Everyone always knows someone. In fact in AdvoCare there is a leader named Dawn Funk who makes few grand per month, claim that from her warm contact list she made in the beginning, she only has one customer buying products from her. All the rest of her business that has allowed her to grow a large team in fact came from people completely outside of her immediate circle of influence.

I will say this again, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Meaning don’t put all your hopes and dreams at the whim of your friends & family. They say you are the 9 people you hang out with the most, perhaps the one of the reason you are where you are at today, is because of your friends & family.

So it should be expected that most of your current circle of friends & family will not have the aspiration & drive to join a business opportunity with you. Expect that and most importantly accept that about them. Think of going way outside your comfort zone, we’re talking completely different circles, join gyms and other memberships and begin talking to more and more new people everyday.

You will be surprised at how much potential market is around you when you begin looking, or you can try learning about generating leads online as well to complement, I know this blog that teaches that sort of stuff, to check out that site you can go here

I don’t have time at the moment to learn about SEO and all this other online stuff but I know it holds a lot of power. I know in Empower Network it was the guys that knew how to do the techy stuff that reaped all the benefits so  I know it is possible to kill it especially because a lot of these companies don’t put emphasis on this sort of stuff.

Ok so to recap

If you are worried about getting leads for your MLM business and you don’t think you are going to make it because all your friends & family is turning you down… think again because you shouldn’t allow the 9 people that got you in the place you’re at today determine your future any longer.

Break free and I’ll tell you from experience, going way outside your comfort zone is healthy and good for you.

For Better Days, The Day in Life of a Stressed out MLM Junkie

Back in 2012, I joined the hot MLM of the time, Empower Network.

Everybody and their sister seemed to be aware of this company, from their fancy cool squeeze pages, to their incredible looking mansions, these guys were the coolest new kids on the block.

It was lighting up my Facebook news feed and I just couldn’t resist clicking through and finding out what all the hype was about.

In order to watch the video, I had to enter the email address which I did and I was going through to the next squeeze page where I watched a solid 10 min video of some guy living in a beautiful mansion, claiming he did it all from his home, working with only a laptop and internet connection.

I was intrigued to say the least to find out more.

At the time I didn’t even know what MLM was really, I just heard the words, blog everyday and you will make money.

So I thought I was the perfect candidate because at the time I was blogging everyday for a happy and quite enjoying it, collecting some readers here and there, I was growing my readership.

And so I joined, I didn’t go all in but I purchased the starter pack and I got started.

3 months of blogging and I wasn’t going anywhere fast, I was getting visits to my page but no clicks, I even posted a blog on my main blog which already had some visitors, in 3 months of doing this, I got 1 person to opt-in to the email.

I was waking up to the realization that most people that join will search for certain keywords like “Empower Network” or “How to join empower network” and all the derivatives of that word that BUYERS will be searching for.

I was not going to have success making a blog that focus on a topic that nobody cared about. I mean I saw someone blog about Roller Coaster rides at Cedar Point or How Arnold Schwarzenegger became mayor of California.  So I was faced with a situation that I told me that I was not going to make it in this program.

Here’s why, for all those keywords that first page on Google was literally covered by huge blogs with already tons of readership. We’re talking about hundreds of comments for each blog posts and a big email list as well, with many social media shares.

How the heck was I supposed to compete? Even if I go to the first page, the top site was so strong and offering so much incentives on joining their team that I knew I didn’t stand a chance. I mean he was a true pro.

I began to see through the deception of Empower Network, as they claimed anyone can make money, all you have to do is blog, and you get all these people to sign up and you make 100% commission, to me that sounded like the best program out there, but what I didn’t realize is that all of their educational program, you had to purchase before you could sell them, so the big ticket bonus that they had for sale was over several grand which I did not have at the time.

The more I looked into this, the more I realized its true difficulty level, I mean we are talking about Over Saturation to the highest level, people that have been blogging for 5 to 10 years, already have massive amounts of content and site authority with google because they keep blogging consistently and incredibly lengthy blog posts, how was I ever suppose to compare or compete with that?

So at 3 months mark, I decided to cut the tie with the MLM path and call it quits

My dreams of becoming self-employed was done, for the time being.

Until it resurrected when another opportunity showed itself, and I will get more into that shortly…

This is what this blog is about, showing different ways to succeed online, and it doesn’t always have to be the MLM path…

MLM Is the hope still alive?

Is there any hope for MLMs anymore? With Vemma going down the drain and Empower Network no longer really around, and the Jeddi Hippie that first got me into Empower Network, no longer doing MLM but his own business of teaching others how to get leads in Facebook, its hard to have hope for MLM anymore.

This blog will be going over why lots of MLM’s fail and what can you do about it.

MLM stands for Multi-level marketing or in other words its a direct selling company that relies on affiliates to distribute the product or service at commission, but it also provides compensation incentives to earn income at multiple levels, usually you get to earn bonus from people you recruit.

Most MLM, the bulk of the high incomes are earned when you recruit enough people into the company because that will always generate the most amount of product sales you are responsible for, since 10 people going out selling products will always bring more return than 1 person.

Its in the companies best interest to pay bonus for recruiting people because that’s how these direct selling companies expand exponentially.

When you build incentives for people to build residual income, that’s the ticket to all the motivation in the world, lets face it residual income is the nicest thing in the world. You can take a 2 month break and that money will continue to come in. You can continue to raise your earning every month and your income perpetually goes up.

When I think of all the top achievers of the game of life, they continually invest in mentors and further their education. This develops and foster self-confidence and beliefs that turn into greater returns over time.

Same thing is important in the MLM industry, people join these business opportunities without the proper skills and wonder why 95% of them fail.

In my opinion its more difficult to make it it for most people, because unlike being an employee where there is a boss that keeps you accountable, now when you join a MLM no one keeps you accountable, its up to you to keep your business going and there in lies the problem.

The same reason why people want to join a MLM which is to become your own boss, the same reason why people fail in this game.

Is MLM still viable?

So can you still make it in MLM? Yes

There are new MLM’s starting up all the time as well as old MLM’s like AdvoCare and Avon still going strong, seeing substantial increases in revenue every year.

One thing to note is it may be smart to not join brand new MLM’s because you never know how long any of these companies are going to last.

But one thing is for certain, it is important to do your due diligence.

Milde Whall’s Introduction, Why I joined MLM

Hello everyone my name is Milde Whall and on this blog I like to talk about my journey of becoming an entrepreneur and running a business for myself. I wake up and listen to inspiring music like Hans Zimmer music like especially in Last Samurai.

It all started 3 years ago, I had been working for a firm for good 4 years out of college, making $2,200 per month and after working for that good while and doing a great job for the company, I was told that I was getting a raise. Well I got a little excited about that so I had my hopes up.

I was thinking positive about life in general and then the day came to get my raise and I got a wopping $60 per month raise and my heart sank 10 ft into the ground.

This was not my idea of the American dream and I was shocked and all but distraught.

I was then determined that I cannot rely on my career to pave the way for me any longer, and I had to hurry on up and make a name for myself and make a living outside of the 9 to 5, slaving away hours for little pay check drip, I felt like a cage and I felt stuck and imprisoned like a caged animal.

There was something seriously missing in my life, something was not right and I was in a pigeon hold.

I wanted to escape and run but I didn’t know how. I wanted to do something to leave and retire for good but with bills I have to pay every month, there was no option for me.

Then I was searching online about making money from home or running a business from home and I came across various threads and articles about MLM or multi-level marketing, and I found a whole pocket of testimonials of stay at home moms and other full time employees making couple grand per month on part time basis that eventually allowed them to quit their day job.

To tell you the truth, it felt too good to be true but as I looked deeper into this and I studied it further, I was more and more interested in what this was all about.

The pain of my current life situation of continuing to be an employee was too painful for me so I kept my eyes set on the end goal which was Freedom.

I decided to put everything on the line and make a all or nothing commitment to one MLM company by the name of AdvoCare and that is where my life began as a MLM junkie that learned everything there is to know about this market model and be the champion that I was born to be.

Because let me tell you something, I am worth more than $2,200 per month working 40 hour work weeks. I am far far more than that and I will do everything in my power to prove it.

Follow the blog for more exciting journey on MLM.
